In 2023, Station Space opened as the home to five youth-centered organizations—Totem Star, Rhapsody Project, Red Eagle Soaring, Jackson Street Music, and Wh!psmart. The 60-year lease ensures stable rent while the central location is critical to attracting youth from across the region. The Cultural Space Agency, a mission-driven public development authority (PDA), partnered with the City of Seattle to realize the project. Three performance spaces radiate from an undulating hemlock-clad central hallway; at strategic moments, concrete arches and steel columns are left raw and exposed. Station Space also includes a greeting area, two offices, gender-neutral bathrooms, and a shared classroom.
